This is a Call for Expression of Interest is intended for Evaluators wanting to provide evaluation service to the Malta Council for Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the Council) in the systematic and objective assessment of submitted project proposals submitted in respect of the Research Excellence Programme or the PARADISE Call.
Research Excellence Programme:
The aim of the Research Excellence Programme is to determine the excellence of individual proposals as per guidelines stipulated by the Council.
This Call is open to Evaluators with expertise in any field of research including but not limited to:
- Natural sciences
- Engineering and Technology
- Medical and Health Sciences
- Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences
- Social sciences
- Humanities and the Arts
Interested applicants are invited to submit their application along with supporting documentation documents electronically to [email protected] with “Call for Evaluators in Research Excellence Programme CALL” as a subject heading. Interested Evaluators are requested to submit their response and all relevant documents, by not later than 26th October 2020. If selected, the agreement shall run for a period of one year.
PARADISE Call:
The PARADISE Call is a call for Ideas towards start-up actions for a plastic free healthy Mediterranean sea. The call is aimed at Enabling Research in Plastics in a Circular Economy Context, it is intended to support applicant entities seeking to escalate the activities that will lead to an enhanced project proposal based on any actions they wish to carry out locally and may include activities overseas.
Interested parties should have a proven track record and will be expected to work under their own initiative and in dialogue with the Council. Expertise in areas including but not limited to:
- Business Development
- Higher Education and Research
- Climate Change
- Environment
- Water
- Transport
- Sustainable Development
- Building Strategic Partnerships
- Other

Interested Evaluators are requested to submit their response and all relevant documents by not later than 26th October 2020. If selected, the agreement shall run for a period of one year.
