Why we process data and what is the data we collect and process
You are free to visit the EURAXESS Malta website without sharing any personal data. You will be asked to share certain data (your name, your contact details such as email; entity you represent, etc) when you register for an event.
The personal data that you have shared with the EURAXESS Malta will be stored in a secure environment that is not accessible to the public. The file can only be accessed by employees of the Bridgehead Organization in Malta.
The EURAXESS initiative aims to facilitate researcher mobility in the European Research Area and beyond and enables users registered on the portal to search for job opportunities.
Data is captured by the European Commission as EURAXESS is a pan-European initiative that they coordinate. Further information regarding data collection and regulation can be found on the European EURAXESS website.
Who has access to the data
By sharing your personal data you give the Maltese Bridgehead Organization (The Malta Council for Science and Technology) your express permission to process your data for the above purposes. The personal data that you have shared with the EURAXESS Malta will be stored in a secure environment that is not accessible to the public. The file can only be accessed by employees of the Bridgehead Organization in Malta.
Should the Bridgehead Organization wish to use your personal data for any other purposes, it will request your explicit permission beforehand. Should you withhold your permission, your personal data will not be shared with third parties or processed for other purposes under any circumstances.
Exercise of rights
You have the right to access, update or remove your personal data at any moment. To do so, log in and select “My Euraxess”; once on your personal page, click on “user profile” to update/remove personal information, export your profile or delete your Euraxess account.
How long the data is kept
Your data will be deleted within a period of 10 years.
How we protect the data
Your data will be stored and locked. Only authorised staff of the Bridge Head Organisation (Malta Council for Science and Technology) has access to it.
