Outline

In this project, working together with experimental scientists in Cardiff School of Chemistry and at the Centre of Solar Energy Research (CSER) in Swansea University, you will develop and employ state-of-the-art computational chemistry methods to investigate the structural, mechanical, electronic and optical properties of a range transition metal phosphide materials.

What is funded

Full UK/EU tuition fees and a doctoral stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum.

Eligibility

Open to UK/EU students without further restrictions.

Master’s degree in Chemistry/Physics or Materials Science or relevant experience.

Applications from international students are welcome but you will be required to pay the difference between Home/EU and International tuition fees.
