The GW4 BioMed MRC Doctoral Training Partnership is recruiting a further three studentships for a 2018 start, aligned with the themes of Infection, Immunity and Repair; Neuroscience and Mental Health; and Population Health.
Projects are being advertised across the partnership in a range of disciplines. Projects available for entry 2018 within our School of Biosciences:
- Machine Learning for Prediction in Alzheimer's Disease: Identifying Novel Biologically Valid Diagnostic Categories to Inform Precision Medicine
- Machine-learning guided immune fingerprinting for rapid detection of life-threatening infection in liver cirrhosis

We welcome applications from non-medical backgrounds, especially in areas of computing, mathematics and the physical sciences, and can fund additional training, including master’s degrees to assist discipline conversion.
You must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a 1st or 2:1 UK honours degree, or the equivalent qualification gained outside the UK, in an area appropriate to the skills requirements of the project.
